Chassis Tipo J #0011-015and Tipo 1600 GT # 001-025 are produced during 1961
- July – Production of the 100GT begins. In total 128 samples will be produced in 1961 and 1962 using six different body styles: 98 cars by Zagato, 21 coupes by Fissore , 3 spiders by Fissore, 3 Boneschi, 2 Touring and 1 Morelli.
- Late 1961 – The required set up for industrial scale production takes its toile. Factory racing grinds to a halt and the financial strain is dictating decisions. Private client racing continues, securing the European hill climb championship for under 1000cc and the Italian 1000cc championship.
